Bommarillu’s Hindi remake- ‘It’s My Life’ to release soon
09 June 2011 Hyderabad We know how big a hit, Siddharth, Angel starrer Bommarillu was when it released in 2006. Soon, the film was remade in Tamil and it was a huge hit there too. Around the same time, BoneyKapoor had bought the rightsof the film to do a Hindi remake.
.. The film was titled ‘It’s My Life’ and had Angel and Harman Baweja in lead roles. The film had, reportedly, been completed long time ago; however,
Harman Baweja who began his career with Love Story 2050, Victory and What’s Your Rashee?, had been going through a rough patch in his career. All the three films tanked at box office and Angel who rose to fame post Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na hasn’t had a single hit after that. This prompted Boney Kapoor to postpone the film’s release indefinitely. Anees Bazmi had directed thefilm. After all these years, finally Boney Kapoor and Anees Bazmi have decided to release the film in Hindi. Talking to BusinessofCinema.com, Boney Kapoor revealed, “We saw It’s My Life recently and I realized how powerful the father-son drama comes across. I do have plans to sharpen the film’s box office potential but I wouldn’t like to reveal them now.”
Apparently, the film is being spiced and spruced up for its release. Anees Bazmi is on a high after his recent film, Ready which had Salman Khan, Asin in lead roles, turned out to be a huge hit.
Although, the date of release hasn’t been confirmed yet, it remains to be seen how far this family drama strikes a chord with the Hindi audience.

Reliable sources inform Businessofcinema.comthatBaweja’s long-in-hibernation project It’s My Life, a remake of the Telugu superhit Bommarillu, is now being spruced and spiced up and readied for release post the release of director Anees Bazmi’s Ready with Salman Khan.
Producer Boney Kapoor admits thereare big plans for It’s My Life. The movie stars Angel opposite Baweja. Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Kapoor said, “Yes, finally things are moving for the film. We saw It’s My Life recently and I realized how powerful the father-son drama comes across. I do have plans to sharpen thefilm’s box office potential but I wouldn’t like to reveal them now. Anees and I have planned a huge marketing strategy for the film. I’ve been prescribed bedrest for two more weeks but after thatI’ve already chalked out plan with Anees.We’ll be working on the script of No Entry Mein Entry and the release of It’s My Life The Hurman Baweja story is far from over. Kapoor feels It’s My Life has the potential to turn Hurman into a belated star.
Kapoor added, “I wanted this to be his second release. We even requested Manmohan Shetty to hold back his second release Victory. However, Hurman’s box office standing became increasingly shaky and we couldn’t release It’s My Life Now we’re making every effort to make it box office-friendly.”
Bazmi informed, “I’ve been urging Boney to release the film for a year now. Now we’re finally getting down to it. It’s My Life is my first love story since Pyar To Hona Hi Thaand Harman and Angel look great together. I believe the script isthe star. Yes we can add ingredients but it’s the basic drama that would bring them in.
